C++ Client Maps Install Guide

  1. Turn off Tibia.
  2. Press (Windows key + R) and it should open a little window write %appdata%/tibia and press enter, a folder should open.
  3. (Optional) Make a backup copy of the folder called Automap (It’s your old map files, in case you want to go back).
  4. Delete your Automap folder then extract the zip file you downloaded here containing the new Automap folder.
  5. Run Tibia and you should have the new explored map installed.

  1. when i do windows+r and the write the following “%appdata%/tibia” it asks me what program i would like to use to open it, i’m so confused.

    • hmm… never had that before.. try writing %appdata%/tibia without the “”.
it should work using “” but not “” that you used, that causes error. If it still don’t work tell me what operating system your using.

      • tibia map got moved to %appdata/roaming/tibia
in windows 7 atleast, open up tibia once with admin rights to let the client make the folder

        • the tibia map folder been moved to %appdata%/tibia/ in all operating systems %appdata% takes you into that roaming folder… so only need to write %appdata%/tibia

  2. Works perfectly fine. Great for everyone that loathes exploring for themselves.

Keep up the good work, Lilith.

  3. After I installed everything went correctly, all of the map was explored, but a day later tibia wouldn’t let me log in! it would send some message invalid data on tibia folder or something about that… then I had to reinstall the game. How can I avoid getting this message again?

    • i really don’t know why that happend, did you change something else or just installed map files? was it c++ client or flash client?
please explain more and give the exact details of what you did. I will gladly help you in the best way i can. and you dont need to post twice:) i just have to moderate the comments before they are shown publicly for safety reasons i don’t want people spreading spam or hacks here + its easier for me to know witch once i haven’t answered to

    • You must have extracted them in wrong directory…
in the folder where maps are located it should be a folder named Automap and a file named Tibia.cfg or (Tibia) if you have endings hidden and inside the Automap folder it should be alot of files..
if it doesn’t look like that its something wrong. if you still cant get it working leave a new comment and ill try to help… remember the automap files should not be located inside the Tibia game folder, its a special config folder if you don’t know where it is read the guide.

      • yea well i did exactly as the info says lol im a computer wiz so it shouldn’t be that hard.
edit: ok i got it figured out thanks anyway!

        • im having same problem i deleted old automap folder and extracted there but only the maps i already explored are there for some reason

          • Well you must be in the wrong folder then or something.
Please explain me exactly all you did and wrote so i can help.
I need more info to be able to help you.

  4. Thanks so much for this useful info. I lost all my maps again for the 4th time and wasn’t going to play again till i saw this service.

Now I’m premmy again and enjoying Tibia like I did before.
    again…. Many Thanks :o)********

  5. I followed the instructions and it seemed to work. Thais was unexplored so i took a few minutes to run around and explore the area, but when i logged back on later everything i explored went black again. Any ideas what im doing wrong?

    • I have no idea about that problem.. Never heard anyone say it before. But rest was explored? I will try the maps myself.. later and see if it works cause im 100% sure they should else i reupload em.

  6. I just instaled a Tibia client for mac, any idea how to do install the map fix on a mac??
cant seem to find the app folder where it is supposed to be

    • Well… I’m really sorry i don’t know anything about Mac’s but if you find a way to install map files on Mac please leave a comment saying how i didn’t even know you could install tibia on Mac.. i thought you could only use flash client?

  7. ” when i do windows+r and the write the following “%appdata%/tibia” it asks me what program i would like to use to open it, i’m so confused. ”
im having the same problem as this guy… and yes i write without the ” “…. i really want this please help me T_T

    • To be honest i don’t know why it doesn’t work for some people, it works for me on Windows XP and Windows 7… You could go the normal way… but you need to show hidden folders.. you can google for that if you don’t know how to… and go into your main harddrive.. C: usually.. where you installed Windows.. then go into folder users then the folder of your windows username then appdata then roaming then tibia… Like this: C:\Users\your pc username\AppData\Roaming\Tibia

  8. Could you maybe help me? I am using tibia for ubuntu. But acutally there isn’t any subfolder called automaps or something similar like that in my tibia main folder. Also it wont work just to create a new folder called automaps in the tibian folder. Am I doing something wrong?

    • you are in the game folder not the settings folder try do the steps below i asked a friend on how to do it cause i dont know anything about linux…

go to home folder and then press ctrl + h to show hidden folders
u will see hidden folders, then inside
try to search for .tibia and inside there you should find the automap folder/files

  9. I does not seem to work for me. I am deleting the automaps file and i extract the zip file but nothing happends…

EDIT: Nvm, i figured it out! working good so far. Thanks!

  10. I extracted the files and everything, but I deleted my old automaps as I lost all my maps already, and now when I do %appdata%tibia I can’t create a new folder, or anything, it just takes me to my recent places but nothing’s there, I installed the folder with the maps again but just goes to my downloads, where would I move the folder to?

    • 1. Turn off Tibia.
      2. Download the maps.
      3. Extract the “Tibia C Maps.zip” you downloaded.
      4. press (Windows Key)+R and write %appdata%/Tibia and press enter.
      5. Move the Automap folder you extracted from the “Tibia C Maps.zip” into the folder you opened on step 4 and you are done.

    • Well you must have missed to extract some files then cause i just tried and it works well.. you downloaded the normal c maps? or the once without marks ? or the flash maps? more details please:)
